Russia’s Trade with Serbia

In the 1st quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Serbia totaled $460,544,623, up 17.37% ($68,142,531) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $214,441,351, up 5.76% ($11,679,377) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $246,103,272, up 29.77% ($56,463,154) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade balance with Serbia went from a surplus of $13,121,856 in the 1st quarter of 2016, to a deficit of $31,661,921 in the 1st quarter of 2017.

Serbia was Russia’s 43rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 44th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3583% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4042% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Serbia was Russia’s 50th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 49th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2573% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3309% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Serbia was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 34th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.5443% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5298% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Serbia

The major share of Russian exports to Serbia in the 1st quarter of 2017 (and in the 1st quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 58.20% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (44.46% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 23.04% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (28.59% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.39% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (8.15% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 5.07% of Russia’s total exports to Serbia (6.37% in the 1st quarter of 2016);
