Russia’s Trade with Colombia

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Colombia totaled $89,461,302, up 60.65% ($33,774,391) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $55,942,886, up 82.50% ($25,289,133) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $33,518,416, up 33.90% ($8,485,258) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $22,424,470, a 298.97% increase ($16,803,875) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Colombia was Russia’s 88th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 89th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0640% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0512% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Colombia was Russia’s 83rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 88th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0666% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0461% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Colombia was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0601% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0591% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Colombia

The major share of Russian exports to Colombia in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 43.54% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (3.20% in the 2nd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 23.16% of Russia’s total exports to Colombia (19.85% in the 2nd quarter of 2016);
