Russia’s Trade with Mozambique

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Mozambique was $15,352,879, down 16.05% ($2,934,993) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were $9,108,586, down 4.05% ($384,302) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were $6,244,293, down 29.00% ($2,550,691) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $2,864,293, a 310.41% increase ($2,166,389) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Mozambique was Russia’s 121st largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 111th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0110% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0168% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Mozambique was Russia’s 117th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 110th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0108% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0143% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Mozambique was Russia’s 100th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 94th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0112% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0207% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Mozambique

The major share of Russian exports to Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

Russia’s Imports from Mozambique

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 99.96% of Russia’s total imports from Mozambique (100.00% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Edible fruit and nuts; peel of citrus fruit or melons (HS code 08) - an increase of $175,815.

The largest declines in Russia’s imports from Mozambique in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - a decrease of $2,697,245;
