Russia’s Trade with Singapore

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Singapore totaled $1,052,074,872, up 141.39% ($616,243,068) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $841,165,341, up 172.01% ($531,921,799) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $210,909,531, up 66.61% ($84,321,269) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $630,255,810, a 245.05% increase ($447,600,530) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Singapore was Russia’s 27th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 41st in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.7528% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4004% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Singapore was Russia’s 23rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 38th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.0017% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.4654% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Singapore was Russia’s 48th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 52nd in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3781% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2986% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Singapore

The major share of Russian exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 98.34% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (95.84% in the 2nd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.58% of Russia’s total exports to Singapore (2.15% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
