Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic totaled $1,870,999,364, up 46.50% ($593,875,003) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $1,044,717,746, up 83.08% ($474,069,380) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $826,281,618, up 16.96% ($119,805,623) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade balance with the Czech Republic went from a deficit of $135,827,629 in the 2nd quarter of 2016, to a surplus of $218,436,128 in the 2nd quarter of 2017.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 18th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 20th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.3387% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.1734% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 20th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 24th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.2441% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.8588% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 15th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 14th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.4812% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.6666% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 15.04% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (19.05% in the 2nd quarter of 2016);
