Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Armenia totaled $409,277,220, up 21.67% ($72,891,393) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $276,849,516, up 10.19% ($25,612,858) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $132,427,704, up 55.52% ($47,278,535) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $144,421,812, a 13.04% decrease ($21,665,677) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Armenia was Russia’s 52nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 57th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2800% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2759% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Armenia was Russia’s 45th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 56th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3243% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3492% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Armenia was Russia’s 57th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 58th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2177% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1704% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 22.62% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (30.36% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 18.40% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (21.10% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 17.55% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (22.67% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
