Russia’s Trade with Estonia

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Estonia totaled $685,061,677, up 18.72% ($108,018,394) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $451,149,889, up 1.08% ($4,808,882) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $233,911,788, up 78.97% ($103,209,512) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $217,238,101, a 31.18% decrease ($98,400,630) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Estonia was Russia’s 39th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 33rd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.4686% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4733% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Estonia was Russia’s 38th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 29th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.5285% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.6204% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Estonia was Russia’s 39th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 42nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3846% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2615% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Estonia

The major share of Russian exports to Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 51.47% of Russia’s total exports to Estonia (57.99% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 13.55% of Russia’s total exports to Estonia (10.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
