RUSSIAN TRADE IN GOODS WITH EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN Q3 2017

The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2017:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were Germany (8.2587% of Russia’s total foreign trade), the Netherlands (5.8806%), Belarus (5.0482%), Italy (3.9910%), Poland (2.7124%), France (2.5250%), the United Kingdom (2.4372%), Ukraine (2.1927%), Finland (2.0851%), and Belgium (1.6063%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were the Netherlands (8.8838% of Russia’s total exports), Germany (6.4825%), Belarus (5.2362%), Italy (3.6694%), Poland (3.0203%), the United Kingdom (2.9758%), Finland (2.3755%), Ukraine (2.2187%), Belgium (1.7938%), and France (1.4219%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were Germany (10.7512% of Russia’s total imports), Belarus (4.7844%), Italy (4.4423%), France (4.0730%), Poland (2.2803%), Ukraine (2.1563%), the United Kingdom (1.6814%), Finland (1.6776%), the Netherlands (1.6663%), and the Czech Republic (1.4744%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016:

  • The share of the United Kingdom in Russia’s total exports rose from 2.4451% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 2.9758% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Latvia in Russia’s total exports declined from 1.3861% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 1.1106% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Sweden in Russia’s total exports declined from 1.0084% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 0.5980% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Spain in Russia’s total exports declined from 0.9403% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 0.5665% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Denmark in Russia’s total exports rose 2.0-fold from 0.4160% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 0.8514% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of France in Russia’s total imports declined from 5.3231% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 4.0730% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Finland in Russia’s total imports rose from 1.2947% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 1.6776% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Norway in Russia’s total imports declined from 0.5290% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 0.3199% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Cyprus in Russia’s total imports declined 16.5-fold from 0.0512% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016 to 0.0031% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017.
