Russia’s Trade with Jamaica

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Jamaica totaled $17,218,477, up 6.68% ($1,078,849) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Jamaica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $17,636, down 83.08% ($86,578) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Jamaica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $17,200,841, up 7.27% ($1,165,427) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Jamaica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $17,183,205, a 7.86% increase ($1,252,005) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Jamaica was Russia’s 115th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 104th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0118% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0132% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Jamaica was Russia’s 130th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 165th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0000% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Jamaica was Russia’s 86th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 79th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0283% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0321% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $101,860;
  • Toys, games and sports requisites; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 95) - a decrease of $1,850;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - a decrease of $504.

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Jamaica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - an increase of $1,155,292.
