Russia’s Trade with Peru

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Peru totaled $100,518,838, up 47.67% ($32,447,415) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $74,685,886, up 50.66% ($25,114,147) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $25,832,952, up 39.64% ($7,333,268) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $48,852,934, a 57.22% increase ($17,780,879) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Peru was Russia’s 82nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 90th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0688% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0558% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Peru was Russia’s 75th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 81st in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0875% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0689% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Peru was Russia’s 83rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 85th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0425% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0370% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Peru

The major share of Russian exports to Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 46.00% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (41.66% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 26.31% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (34.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 11.56% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (7.98% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 11.42% of Russia’s total exports to Peru (8.94% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $4,692,649;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $4,093,770;
  • Cereals (HS code 10) - an increase of $2,413,910;
  • Explosives; pyrotechnic products; matches; pyrophoric alloys; certain combustible preparations (HS code 36) - an increase of $1,719,659;
  • Printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the printing industry; manuscripts, typescripts and plans (HS code 49) - an increase of $473,399;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - an increase of $443,588;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - an increase of $279,090.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Peru in the 3rd quarter of 2017 over the 3rd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $811,116.

Russia’s Imports from Peru
