Russia’s Trade with Spain

In the 3rd quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Spain was $1,294,028,901, down 0.46% ($6,022,677) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $483,562,898, down 28.52% ($192,929,152) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $810,466,003, up 29.97% ($186,906,475) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade balance with Spain went from a surplus of $52,932,522 in the 3rd quarter of 2016, to a deficit of $326,903,105 in the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Spain was Russia’s 26th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 20th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.8852% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.0663% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Spain

The major share of Russian exports to Spain in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 78.63% of Russia’s total exports to Spain (82.73% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 10.01% of Russia’s total exports to Spain (10.35% in the 3rd quarter of 2016);
