Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Armenia totaled $583,193,514, up 36.07% ($154,599,083) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $421,032,800, up 26.95% ($89,372,895) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $162,160,714, up 67.29% ($65,226,188) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $258,872,086, a 10.29% increase ($24,146,707) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Armenia was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 50th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3489% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3145% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Armenia was Russia’s 45th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 44th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.4093% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3956% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Armenia was Russia’s 49th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 58th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2523% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1849% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 30.17% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (45.19% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 24.15% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (18.02% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
