Russia’s Trade with Ghana

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Ghana was $46,785,367, down 20.30% ($11,914,696) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Ghana in the 4th quarter of 2017 were $24,308,651, down 25.81% ($8,456,260) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Ghana in the 4th quarter of 2017 were $22,476,716, down 13.33% ($3,458,436) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Ghana in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $1,831,935, a 73.18% decrease ($4,997,824) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Ghana was Russia’s 102nd largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 96th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0280% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0431% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Ghana was Russia’s 105th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 95th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0236% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0391% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Ghana was Russia’s 88th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 83rd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0350% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0495% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - an increase of $3,583,256;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $357,956;
  • Articles of iron or steel (HS code 73) - an increase of $131,186.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Ghana in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $11,499,056;
  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $1,076,657.
