Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Honduras totaled $8,611,606, up 52.30% ($2,957,342) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $4,564,072, up 33.88% ($1,155,014) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $4,047,534, up 80.27% ($1,802,328) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

Russia’s trade surplus with Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $516,538, a 55.62% decrease ($647,314) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Honduras was Russia’s 135th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 138th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0052% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0041% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Honduras was Russia’s 134th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 133rd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0044% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0041% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Honduras was Russia’s 106th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 114th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0063% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0043% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Russia’s Exports to Honduras

The major share of Russian exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 85.22% of Russia’s total exports to Honduras (65.03% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 4.94% of Russia’s total exports to Honduras (7.03% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.93% of Russia’s total exports to Honduras (10.85% in the 4th quarter of 2016);

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $89,890;
  • Glass and glassware (HS code 70) - an increase of $72,078;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - an increase of $62,560.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $582,617;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $157,381;
  • Tanning or dyeing extracts; dyes, pigments, paints, varnishes, putty and mastics (HS code 32) - a decrease of $93,984;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $14,280.

Russia’s Imports from Honduras

The major share of Russian imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 87.45% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (75.25% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 10.06% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (16.10% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.96% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (2.07% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 0.50% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (6.53% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

The largest declines in Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Soap, organic surface-active agents, washing preparations, lubricating preparations, artificial waxes, prepared waxes, polishing or scouring preparations, candles and similar articles, modeling pastes, "dental waxes" and dental preparations with a basis of plaster (HS code 34) - a decrease of $126,211;
  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - a decrease of $46,000;
  • Articles of apparel and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted (HS code 61) - a decrease of $34,320.
