Russia’s Trade with Lebanon
In the 4th quarter of 2017, Russia’s trade with Lebanon totaled $169,207,919, up 5.18% ($8,334,242) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $166,769,811, up 4.90% ($7,794,945) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s imports from Lebanon in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $2,438,108, up 28.40% ($539,297) from the 4th quarter of 2016.
Russia’s trade surplus with Lebanon in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $164,331,703, a 4.62% increase ($7,255,648) over the 4th quarter of 2016.
Lebanon was Russia’s 75th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 72nd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1012% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1181% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Lebanon was Russia’s 65th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 64th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1621% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1896% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Lebanon was Russia’s 114th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (up from 119th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0038% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0036% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
Russia’s Exports to Lebanon
The major share of Russian exports to Lebanon in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 56.28% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (53.26% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 31.21% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (22.21% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 6.62% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (9.39% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.80% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (7.91% in the 4th quarter of 2016);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.55% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (1.69% in the 4th quarter of 2016);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $9,796,672;
- Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $7,688,354;
- Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,894,326;
- Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $2,819,526.
