In 2017, Russia’s trade with Australia totaled $630,969,425, up 18.52% ($98,577,995) from 2016.

Russia’s exports to Australia in 2017 totaled $120,707,534, up 87.21% ($56,229,447) from 2016.

Russia’s imports from Australia in 2017 totaled $510,261,891, up 9.05% ($42,348,548) from 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Australia in 2017 was $389,554,357, a 3.44% decrease ($13,880,899) over 2016.

Australia was Russia’s 74th largest trading partner in 2017 (just as in 2016), accounting for 0.1080% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1138% in 2016).

Australia was Russia’s 94th largest export market in 2017 (up from 104th in 2016), accounting for 0.0338% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0226% in 2016).

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 5.68% of Russia’s total exports to Australia (9.84% in 2016);

  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $908,080;
