In 2017, Russia’s trade with Paraguay was $645,412,491, down 8.88% ($62,879,985) from 2016.

Russia’s exports to Paraguay in 2017 totaled $20,125,815, up 76.21% ($8,704,103) from 2016.

Russia’s imports from Paraguay in 2017 were $625,286,676, down 10.27% ($71,584,088) from 2016.

Russia’s trade deficit with Paraguay in 2017 was $605,160,861, a 11.71% decrease ($80,288,191) over 2016.

Paraguay was Russia’s 72nd largest trading partner in 2017 (down from 69th in 2016), accounting for 0.1105% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1514% in 2016).

Paraguay was Russia’s 129th largest export market in 2017 (up from 141st in 2016), accounting for 0.0056% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0040% in 2016).

Paraguay was Russia’s 49th largest supplier in 2017 (down from 40th in 2016), accounting for 0.2755% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3823% in 2016).

  • Plastics and articles thereof (HS code 39) - an increase of $90,118;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - an increase of $87,794;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - an increase of $61,844.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Paraguay in 2017 over 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $769,765;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $339,371;
