Russia’s Trade with Bulgaria

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Bulgaria was $882,287,772, down 7.35% ($70,034,844) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Bulgaria in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $759,980,636, down 8.87% ($73,962,282) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Bulgaria in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $122,307,136, up 3.32% ($3,927,438) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Bulgaria in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $637,673,500, a 10.89% decrease ($77,889,720) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Bulgaria was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 31st in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5597% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.7408% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Bulgaria was Russia’s 31st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 25th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.7377% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.0007% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Bulgaria was Russia’s 54th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 48th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2240% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2618% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Bulgaria

The major share of Russian exports to Bulgaria in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 81.04% of Russia’s total exports to Bulgaria (77.89% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 9.88% of Russia’s total exports to Bulgaria (6.34% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 2.60% of Russia’s total exports to Bulgaria (9.23% in the 1st quarter of 2017);

Russia’s Imports from Bulgaria
