Russia’s Trade with Cyprus

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Cyprus totaled $133,623,826, up 55.56% ($47,726,685) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Cyprus in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $131,128,066, up 58.53% ($48,414,450) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Cyprus in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $2,495,760, down 21.60% ($687,765) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Cyprus in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $128,632,306, a 61.74% increase ($49,102,215) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Cyprus was Russia’s 77th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 84th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0848% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0668% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Cyprus was Russia’s 67th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 72nd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1273% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0993% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Cyprus was Russia’s 119th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 111th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0046% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0070% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Cyprus

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Cyprus in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $1,443,022;
