Russia’s Trade with Honduras

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Honduras was $6,778,422, down 1.58% ($108,546) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $1,961,109, up 91.81% ($938,666) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $4,817,313, down 17.86% ($1,047,212) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $2,856,204, a 41.01% decrease ($1,985,878) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Honduras was Russia’s 137th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 131st in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0043% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0054% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Honduras was Russia’s 142nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 140th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0019% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0012% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Honduras was Russia’s 108th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 101st in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0088% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0130% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - an increase of $70,629;
  • Glass and glassware (HS code 70) - an increase of $47,619;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $14,215;
  • Beverages, spirits and vinegar (HS code 22) - an increase of $11,040.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Tanning or dyeing extracts; dyes, pigments, paints, varnishes, putty and mastics (HS code 32) - a decrease of $36,009;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $17,294.

Russia’s Imports from Honduras

The major share of Russian imports from Honduras in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 88.84% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (94.90% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 9.06% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (2.72% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.28% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (1.24% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 0.73% of Russia’s total imports from Honduras (1.11% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

  • Coffee, tea, maté and spices (HS code 09) - a decrease of $1,638,161;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $19,990;
  • Soap, organic surface-active agents, washing preparations, lubricating preparations, artificial waxes, prepared waxes, polishing or scouring preparations, candles and similar articles, modeling pastes, "dental waxes" and dental preparations with a basis of plaster (HS code 34) - a decrease of $16,283.
