Russia’s Trade with Paraguay

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Paraguay totaled $191,881,927, up 139.99% ($111,928,634) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Paraguay in the 1st quarter of 2018 were $2,573,293, down 32.38% ($1,231,955) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Paraguay in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $189,308,634, up 148.61% ($113,160,589) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with Paraguay in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $186,735,341, a 158.13% increase ($114,392,544) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Paraguay was Russia’s 71st largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 86th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1217% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0622% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Paraguay was Russia’s 138th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (down from 125th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0025% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0046% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Paraguay was Russia’s 44th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 62nd in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3467% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1684% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Paraguay

The major share of Russian exports to Paraguay in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Paraguay in the 1st quarter of 2018 over the 1st quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $1,098,540;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $499,665;
  • Plastics and articles thereof (HS code 39) - a decrease of $33,735;
  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $22,479;
  • Toys, games and sports requisites; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 95) - a decrease of $10,015.

Russia’s Imports from Paraguay
