Russia’s Trade with Poland

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Poland totaled $5,081,982,693, up 36.23% ($1,351,471,585) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Poland in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $3,936,805,723, up 40.81% ($1,141,061,698) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Poland in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $1,145,176,970, up 22.51% ($210,409,887) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Poland in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $2,791,628,753, a 50.01% increase ($930,651,811) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Poland was Russia’s 8th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 11th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 3.2239% of Russia’s total trade (up from 2.9019% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Poland was Russia’s 6th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 8th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 3.8213% of Russia’s total exports (up from 3.3547% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Poland was Russia’s 11th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 2.0970% of Russia’s total imports (up from 2.0673% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Poland

The major share of Russian exports to Poland in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 83.55% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (82.76% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.26% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (8.94% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
