Russia’s Trade with Uzbekistan

In the 1st quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Uzbekistan totaled $944,471,830, up 43.89% ($288,098,454) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Uzbekistan in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $705,803,912, up 53.13% ($244,898,815) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Uzbekistan in the 1st quarter of 2018 totaled $238,667,918, up 22.10% ($43,199,639) from the 1st quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Uzbekistan in the 1st quarter of 2018 was $467,135,994, a 75.99% increase ($201,699,176) over the 1st quarter of 2017.

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 35th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 38th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.5992% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.5106% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 32nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 36th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.6851% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5531% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 36th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2018 (up from 39th in the 1st quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.4370% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4323% in the 1st quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Uzbekistan

The major share of Russian exports to Uzbekistan in the 1st quarter of 2018 (and in the 1st quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 19.12% of Russia’s total exports to Uzbekistan (20.11% in the 1st quarter of 2017);
