Russia’s Trade with Armenia

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Armenia totaled $406,279,953, up 11.57% ($42,137,152) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $275,993,740, up 5.13% ($13,476,271) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $130,286,213, up 28.20% ($28,660,881) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $145,707,527, a 9.44% decrease ($15,184,610) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Armenia was Russia’s 56th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 52nd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2377% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2606% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Armenia was Russia’s 51st largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 45th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2504% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3126% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Armenia was Russia’s 56th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 57th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2146% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1822% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Armenia

The major share of Russian exports to Armenia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 33.47% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (38.30% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 18.10% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (16.83% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 17.55% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (16.02% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 12.75% of Russia’s total exports to Armenia (11.10% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
