Russia’s Trade with Croatia

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Croatia was $288,149,769, down 8.75% ($27,616,221) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $243,301,034, down 7.40% ($19,440,399) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $44,848,735, down 15.42% ($8,175,822) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $198,452,299, a 5.37% decrease ($11,264,577) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Croatia was Russia’s 68th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 57th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1686% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2259% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Croatia was Russia’s 55th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 44th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2208% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3129% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Croatia was Russia’s 73rd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 69th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0739% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0951% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 91.27% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (94.19% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.06% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (2.36% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.02% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (1.94% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 over the 2nd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

Russia’s Imports from Croatia

The major share of Russian imports from Croatia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 51.57% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (44.85% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 21.45% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (27.47% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 12.84% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (10.64% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 5.89% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (6.21% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
