Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Jordan totaled $51,903,540, up 56.51% ($18,740,313) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $47,199,492, up 85.92% ($21,812,939) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were $4,704,048, down 39.51% ($3,072,626) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $42,495,444, a 141.32% increase ($24,885,565) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Jordan was Russia’s 101st largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 109th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0304% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0237% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Jordan was Russia’s 89th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 97th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0428% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0302% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Jordan was Russia’s 108th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 95th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0077% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0139% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Jordan

The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - an increase of $539,016;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $440,466;
  • Meat and edible meat offal (HS code 02) - an increase of $417,964;

  • Tanning or dyeing extracts; dyes, pigments, paints, varnishes, putty and mastics (HS code 32) - a decrease of $683,712;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $483,695;
