Russia’s Trade with Mongolia
In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Mongolia totaled $420,162,469, up 27.08% ($89,522,758) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $408,599,133, up 26.68% ($86,062,665) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $11,563,336, up 42.70% ($3,460,093) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $397,035,797, a 26.27% increase ($82,602,572) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Mongolia was Russia’s 54th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 55th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2458% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2366% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Mongolia was Russia’s 45th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 42nd in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.3708% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3841% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Mongolia was Russia’s 93rd largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (up from 94th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0190% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0145% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Mongolia
The major share of Russian exports to Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 59.57% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (64.18% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 15.11% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (12.38% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.76% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (4.89% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.20% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (8.00% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
