Russia’s Trade with Portugal

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Portugal totaled $302,218,407, up 5.53% ($15,823,745) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $180,507,601, up 0.38% ($686,380) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2018 totaled $121,710,806, up 14.20% ($15,137,365) from the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2018 was $58,796,795, a 19.73% decrease ($14,450,985) over the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Portugal was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 60th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1768% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2049% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Portugal was Russia’s 64th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 54th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1638% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2141% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Portugal was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (down from 55th in the 2nd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2005% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1910% in the 2nd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 54.44% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (90.52% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 30.35% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (0.69% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.29% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (2.22% in the 2nd quarter of 2017);
