In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Mozambique totaled $49,585,406, up 70.51% ($20,505,398) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Mozambique in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $46,893,493, up 88.58% ($22,027,174) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Mozambique in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $2,691,913, down 36.12% ($1,521,776) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Mozambique in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $44,201,580, a 114.02% increase ($23,548,950) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s Imports from Mozambique

The major share of Russian imports from Mozambique in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 99.94% of Russia’s total imports from Mozambique (100.00% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Mozambique in the 3rd quarter of 2018 over the 3rd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Edible fruit and nuts; peel of citrus fruit or melons (HS code 08) - an increase of $395,369;
  • Fish and crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates (HS code 03) - an increase of $114,917.
