Russia’s Trade with New Zealand

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with New Zealand was $40,698,143, down 54.17% ($48,110,262) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to New Zealand in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $2,539,637, down 93.36% ($35,688,125) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from New Zealand in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $38,158,506, down 24.56% ($12,422,137) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade deficit with New Zealand in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $35,618,869, a 188.34% increase ($23,265,988) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

New Zealand was Russia’s 109th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 85th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0237% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0607% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

New Zealand was Russia’s 145th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 91st in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0023% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0448% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

New Zealand was Russia’s 79th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 70th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0637% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0832% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

  • Ceramic products (HS code 69) - an increase of $18,261;
  • Toys, games and sports requisites; parts and accessories thereof (HS code 95) - an increase of $16,573.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to New Zealand in the 3rd quarter of 2018 over the 3rd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $36,508,381;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $155,537;
