Russia’s Trade with Poland

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Poland totaled $5,359,169,996, up 35.16% ($1,394,034,990) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Poland in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $4,037,972,075, up 56.63% ($1,459,874,392) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Poland in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $1,321,197,921, down 4.75% ($65,839,402) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Poland in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $2,716,774,154, a 128.10% increase ($1,525,713,794) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Poland was Russia’s 10th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 11th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 3.1145% of Russia’s total trade (up from 2.7124% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Poland was Russia’s 8th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 11th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 3.5990% of Russia’s total exports (up from 3.0203% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Poland was Russia’s 10th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 9th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 2.2066% of Russia’s total imports (down from 2.2803% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Poland

The major share of Russian exports to Poland in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 84.46% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (79.30% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 6.03% of Russia’s total exports to Poland (6.03% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
