Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic totaled $2,207,381,164, up 14.05% ($271,892,006) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $1,273,701,989, up 22.63% ($235,042,274) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $933,679,175, up 4.11% ($36,849,732) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Czech Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $340,022,814, a 139.74% increase ($198,192,542) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 19th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 18th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.2828% of Russia’s total trade (down from 1.3240% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 22nd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 21st in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.1352% of Russia’s total exports (down from 1.2168% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 14th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 15th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 1.5594% of Russia’s total imports (up from 1.4744% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to the Czech Republic

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 76.84% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (72.52% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.20% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (7.07% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.36% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (8.12% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.06% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (6.21% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 3rd quarter of 2018 over the 3rd quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
