Russia’s Trade with Uzbekistan

In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Uzbekistan totaled $1,088,461,320, up 20.71% ($186,758,132) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s exports to Uzbekistan in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $827,747,793, up 29.90% ($190,518,925) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s imports from Uzbekistan in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $260,713,527, down 1.42% ($3,760,793) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Uzbekistan in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $567,034,266, a 52.12% increase ($194,279,718) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 32nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 34th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.6326% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.6168% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 29th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 31st in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.7378% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.7465% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Uzbekistan was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 36th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.4354% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4348% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Uzbekistan

The major share of Russian exports to Uzbekistan in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 28.55% of Russia’s total exports to Uzbekistan (21.63% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 18.91% of Russia’s total exports to Uzbekistan (19.15% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
