Russia’s Trade with Morocco
In the 4th quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Morocco was $422,351,200, down 22.11% ($119,898,633) from the 4th quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2018 were $247,944,324, down 27.35% ($93,323,449) from the 4th quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2018 were $174,406,876, down 13.22% ($26,575,184) from the 4th quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2018 was $73,537,448, a 47.58% decrease ($66,748,265) over the 4th quarter of 2017.
Morocco was Russia’s 59th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 49th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2261% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3244% in the 4th quarter of 2017).
Morocco was Russia’s 57th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 49th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.1992% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3318% in the 4th quarter of 2017).
Morocco was Russia’s 48th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2018 (down from 44th in the 4th quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.2797% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3127% in the 4th quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Morocco
The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2018 (and in the 4th quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 56.39% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (77.66% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 24.78% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (5.02% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 16.24% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (5.71% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.13% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (0.37% in the 4th quarter of 2017).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 4th quarter of 2018 over the 4th quarter of 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $102,969,380;
- Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $22,231,180;

- Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 13.72% of Russia’s total imports from Morocco (10.91% in the 4th quarter of 2017);
