In 2018, Russia’s trade with Brazil was $5,054,310,452, down 3.37% ($176,496,483) from 2017.

Russia’s exports to Brazil in 2018 totaled $2,584,351,242, up 27.15% ($551,858,599) from 2017.

Russia’s imports from Brazil in 2018 were $2,469,959,210, down 22.77% ($728,355,082) from 2017.

Russia’s trade balance with Brazil went from a deficit of $1,165,821,649 in 2017, to a surplus of $114,392,032 in 2018.

Brazil was Russia’s 30th largest trading partner in 2018 (down from 26th in 2017), accounting for 0.7345% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.8956% in 2017).

Brazil was Russia’s 36th largest export market in 2018 (down from 35th in 2017), accounting for 0.5743% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.5692% in 2017).

Brazil was Russia’s 22nd largest supplier in 2018 (down from 18th in 2017), accounting for 1.0371% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.4092% in 2017).

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 76.41% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (74.47% in 2017);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 18.87% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (17.53% in 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 2.16% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (4.20% in 2017);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.90% of Russia’s total exports to Brazil (3.11% in 2017).
