In 2018, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $4,339,076,309, up 18.24% ($669,472,377) from 2017.

Russia’s exports to Greece in 2018 totaled $4,062,689,110, up 18.45% ($632,854,148) from 2017.

Russia’s imports from Greece in 2018 totaled $276,387,199, up 15.27% ($36,618,229) from 2017.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in 2018 was $3,786,301,911, a 18.69% increase ($596,235,919) over 2017.

Greece was Russia’s 36th largest trading partner in 2018 (down from 34th in 2017), accounting for 0.6306% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.6283% in 2017).

Greece was Russia’s 27th largest export market in 2018 (down from 23rd in 2017), accounting for 0.9029% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.9605% in 2017).

Greece was Russia’s 67th largest supplier in 2018 (just as in 2017), accounting for 0.1161% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.1056% in 2017).

Russia’s Exports to Greece

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in 2018 (and in 2017) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 89.04% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (72.44% in 2017);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 6.87% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (24.12% in 2017);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 1.99% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (1.10% in 2017).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Greece in 2018 over 2017 were recorded for the following product groups:
