Russia’s Trade with Greece

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $998,789,561, up 1.59% ($15,662,597) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $947,966,361, up 2.42% ($22,416,178) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Greece in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $50,823,200, down 11.73% ($6,753,581) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $897,143,161, a 3.36% increase ($29,169,759) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Greece was Russia’s 33rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 34th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.6345% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.6237% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Greece

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 92.54% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (84.41% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.67% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (11.73% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
