Russia’s Trade with Indonesia

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Indonesia was $552,551,567, down 4.06% ($23,363,109) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $151,721,976, up 7.29% ($10,313,339) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $400,829,591, down 7.75% ($33,676,448) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $249,107,615, a 15.01% decrease ($43,989,787) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Indonesia was Russia’s 47th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 43rd in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3510% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3654% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Indonesia was Russia’s 65th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1454% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1373% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Indonesia was Russia’s 27th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 28th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.7557% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.7957% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Indonesia

The major share of Russian exports to Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 24.18% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (22.93% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 13.95% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (21.64% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 12.33% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (4.10% in the 1st quarter of 2018);

Russia’s Imports from Indonesia

The major share of Russian imports from Indonesia in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
