Russia’s Trade with Israel

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Israel was $663,834,912, down 7.04% ($50,285,348) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $451,581,601, down 7.26% ($35,346,244) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Israel in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $212,253,311, down 6.58% ($14,939,104) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Israel in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $239,328,290, a 7.86% decrease ($20,407,140) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Israel was Russia’s 40th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 38th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4217% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4530% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Israel was Russia’s 40th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 39th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4326% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4726% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Israel was Russia’s 38th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 37th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4002% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4160% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Israel

The major share of Russian exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 52.90% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (39.96% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 22.42% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (38.34% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 10.40% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (6.31% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.09% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (3.50% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
