Russia’s Trade with Italy

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Italy totaled $5,897,510,303, up 0.44% ($25,702,122) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Italy in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $3,817,567,596, up 9.06% ($317,053,117) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Italy in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $2,079,942,707, down 12.29% ($291,350,995) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Italy in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $1,737,624,889, a 53.88% increase ($608,404,112) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Italy was Russia’s 8th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 6th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 3.7462% of Russia’s total trade (up from 3.7250% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Italy was Russia’s 7th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 3.6573% of Russia’s total exports (up from 3.3978% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

The major share of Russian exports to Italy in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
