Russia’s Trade with Morocco
In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Morocco was $379,106,929, down 27.84% ($146,246,817) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $169,870,164, down 46.90% ($150,010,744) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $209,236,765, up 1.83% ($3,763,927) from the 1st quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade balance with Morocco went from a surplus of $114,408,070 in the 1st quarter of 2018, to a deficit of $39,366,601 in the 1st quarter of 2019.
Morocco was Russia’s 58th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 46th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2408% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3333% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Morocco was Russia’s 61st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 46th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1627% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.3105% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Morocco was Russia’s 40th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 41st in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3945% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.3763% in the 1st quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Morocco
The major share of Russian exports to Morocco in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 41.47% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (69.93% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 30.09% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (19.49% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 24.40% of Russia’s total exports to Morocco (9.38% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
