Russia’s Trade with New Zealand

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with New Zealand totaled $144,223,819, up 318.28% ($109,743,855) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to New Zealand in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $84,572,840, up 3,807.00% ($82,408,193) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from New Zealand in the 1st quarter of 2019 totaled $59,650,979, up 84.59% ($27,335,662) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade balance with New Zealand went from a deficit of $30,150,670 in the 1st quarter of 2018, to a surplus of $24,921,861 in the 1st quarter of 2019.

New Zealand was Russia’s 78th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 109th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0916% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0219% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

New Zealand was Russia’s 74th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 140th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0810% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0021% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

New Zealand was Russia’s 67th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (up from 80th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1125% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0592% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

The major share of Russian exports to New Zealand in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
