Russia’s Trade with Portugal

In the 1st quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Portugal was $293,431,514, down 32.37% ($140,424,589) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $169,363,765, down 43.89% ($132,453,622) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 1st quarter of 2019 were $124,067,749, down 6.04% ($7,970,967) from the 1st quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Portugal in the 1st quarter of 2019 was $45,296,016, a 73.32% decrease ($124,482,655) over the 1st quarter of 2018.

Portugal was Russia’s 63rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 51st in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1864% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2752% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 62nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 48th in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1623% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2930% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 54th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2019 (down from 51st in the 1st quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2339% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2418% in the 1st quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 1st quarter of 2019 (and in the 1st quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.80% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (91.91% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 5.14% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (3.76% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.27% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (2.20% in the 1st quarter of 2018);
