The major trading partners of Russia in Africa in the 2nd quarter of 2019:

The top five Russia’s trade partners in Africa in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were Egypt (0.9155% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Algeria (0.2496%), South Africa (0.1924%), Morocco (0.1752%), and Tunisia (0.1123%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in Africa in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were Egypt (1.2719% of Russia’s total exports), Algeria (0.3942%), Morocco (0.1719%), Tunisia (0.1478%), and Togo (0.0936%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from Africa in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were South Africa (0.4206% of Russia’s total imports), Egypt (0.3101%), Morocco (0.1809%), Cote d’Ivoire (0.0831%), and Tunisia (0.0519%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Africa in the 2nd quarter of 2019 over the 2nd quarter of 2018:

  • The share of Nigeria in Russia’s total exports declined 3.5-fold from 0.2118% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0611% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Sudan in Russia’s total exports declined 4.3-fold from 0.1506% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0353% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Kenya in Russia’s total exports declined 2.7-fold from 0.0719% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0263% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Tanzania in Russia’s total exports declined 5.6-fold from 0.0394% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0070% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Togo in Russia’s total exports rose 4.5-fold from 0.0209% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0936% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Mozambique in Russia’s total exports declined 31.0-fold from 0.0062% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0002% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019;
  • The share of Djibouti in Russia’s total exports declined 6.0-fold from 0.0012% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018 to 0.0002% in the 2nd quarter of the 2019.
