Russia’s Trade with Mongolia
In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Mongolia was $418,999,020, down 0.28% ($1,163,449) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $408,690,405, up 0.02% ($91,272) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $10,308,615, down 10.85% ($1,254,721) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $398,381,790, a 0.34% increase ($1,345,993) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Mongolia was Russia’s 53rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 54th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2617% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2458% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Mongolia was Russia’s 41st largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 45th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4056% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3708% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Mongolia was Russia’s 94th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 93rd in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0174% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0190% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Mongolia
The major share of Russian exports to Mongolia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 60.18% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (59.57% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 12.10% of Russia’s total exports to Mongolia (15.11% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
