Russia’s Trade with Myanmar (Burma)

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Myanmar (Burma) totaled $103,829,714, up 361.84% ($81,347,946) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $84,442,467, up 793.82% ($74,995,047) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Myanmar (Burma) in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $19,387,247, up 48.74% ($6,352,899) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade balance with Myanmar (Burma) went from a deficit of $3,586,928 in the 2nd quarter of 2018, to a surplus of $65,055,220 in the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Myanmar (Burma) was Russia’s 83rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 120th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0649% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0132% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Myanmar (Burma) was Russia’s 76th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 121st in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0838% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0086% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Myanmar (Burma) was Russia’s 86th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 90th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0327% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0215% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $4,668,679;
  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $571,276;
