Russia’s Trade with Portugal

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Portugal totaled $445,271,601, up 47.33% ($143,053,194) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $324,948,777, up 80.02% ($144,441,176) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $120,322,824, down 1.14% ($1,387,982) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $204,625,953, a 248.02% increase ($145,829,158) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Portugal was Russia’s 52nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 64th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2781% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1768% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 47th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 64th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3225% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1638% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Portugal was Russia’s 58th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2028% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2005% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 90.45% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (54.44% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 4.94% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (30.35% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.02% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (5.29% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);

Russia’s Imports from Portugal
