In January 2015 the Russian imports decreased by 40 percent due to the Russian retaliatory sanctions and the depreciation of the Russian ruble.

In January 2015 the Russian imports from non-CIS* countries decreased by 40 percent compared to January 2014. The main reasons for this decline are the Russian retaliatory sanctions and the depreciation of the Russian ruble.

*CIS - Commonwealth of Independent States (a regional organisation formed during the breakup of the Soviet Union, whose participating countries are some former Soviet Republics).
