Russia’s exports to Kenya in 2011 totaled $226,644,773, up 85.34% ($104,357,934) from 2010.

Russia’s imports from Kenya in 2011 totaled $127,983,821, up 50.25% ($42,800,907) from 2010.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kenya in 2011 was $98,660,952, a 165.90% increase ($61,557,027) over 2010.

Kenya was Russia’s 88th largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 92nd in 2010), accounting for 0.0431% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0331% in 2010).

Kenya was Russia’s 82nd largest export market in 2011 (up from 88th in 2010), accounting for 0.0439% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0308% in 2010).

Kenya was Russia’s 78th largest supplier in 2011 (up from 80th in 2010), accounting for 0.0419% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0372% in 2010).

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 77.11% of Russia’s total exports to Kenya (40.09% in 2010);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 4.79% of Russia’s total exports to Kenya (15.28% in 2010);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Kenya in 2011 over 2010 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $7,623,574;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $4,242,164;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $2,656,925;
