Russia’s Trade with Mexico
In 2011, Russia’s trade with Mexico totaled $1,414,680,649, up 84.12% ($646,337,980) from 2010.
Russia’s exports to Mexico in 2011 totaled $577,145,019, up 99.84% ($288,345,349) from 2010.
Russia’s imports from Mexico in 2011 totaled $837,535,630, up 74.65% ($357,992,631) from 2010.
Russia’s trade deficit with Mexico in 2011 was $260,390,611, a 36.51% increase ($69,647,282) over 2010.
Mexico was Russia’s 60th largest trading partner in 2011 (up from 67th in 2010), accounting for 0.1720% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1227% in 2010).
Mexico was Russia’s 70th largest export market in 2011 (down from 68th in 2010), accounting for 0.1117% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0727% in 2010).
Mexico was Russia’s 45th largest supplier in 2011 (up from 47th in 2010), accounting for 0.2739% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2095% in 2010).
Russia’s Exports to Mexico
The major share of Russian exports to Mexico in 2011 (and in 2010) was accounted for the following product types:
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 76.67% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (77.19% in 2010);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 11.79% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (5.47% in 2010);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 8.76% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (0.17% in 2010);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.40% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (15.31% in 2010);
